Our Story
The story of Chelsea Village Baptist Church began long before the church started meeting for Bible Study in a living room on June 14, 2009. God worked in the hearts of families who had a burden for the community of Chelsea and in churches who saw the need for more churches in the area. He brought people together who would start the church and provided the foundation for the church's beginning in ways that cannot be explained by human reasoning or ingenuity. After meeting throughout the rest of 2009 for Bible Study, Chelsea Village Baptist Church officially launched on January 10, 2010. We currently meet for worship every Sunday morning, and are working on expanding our ministry throughout the city of Chelsea
Our Mission
We all look into the world and see that something is broken. The wonderful news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that God is bringing us back to Himself and changing us into the people that he created to be. At Chelsea Village, we want to be part of seeing people's lives transformed into the image of Jesus Christ. We want to see people come to know God. We want to see lives changed, marriages restored, and relationships healed. We believe that this only happens through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and happens so that God will be honored for the change that he brings. This desire is reflected in our mission statement "We exist to transform lives for the glory of God through the Gospel of Jesus Christ."
Our Worship
We meet every Sunday for worship at 10:30AM at Dance South Studio, 316 Foothills Drive in Chelsea.
Our Partners
Our church is a mission of Meadow Brook Baptist Church, Bethel Baptist Church, and the Shelby Baptist Association. While we are a church that is not run by any outside agency, we willingly partner with the Southern Baptist Convention, Alabama Baptist Convention, and the Shelby Baptist Association as a way of supporting missions at home and around the world.
